Upcoming Life Support events
The Life Support Group will be eating together this Sunday, Jan. 13 after church. Be sure to email Jamye, jcappadonna@gracepoint.org whether or not you will be joining and how many. We will be eating at the Royal Inn, 5440 Babcock Rd. From church left on Babcock just past the light in the shopping center on the right.
We 'd love for as many as possible from the Life Support Group to go on the Piedras Negras one day mission trip Saturday, Feb. 9. It will be great to travel together and also to spend time serving together on the trip. We leave from the church at 6 a.m. and will be back by 9 PM.
There will be an orientation meeting, Sunday, January 27 directly after the 11 PM service.
The lesson this week was on John 15 and how we can abide in him and stay in the vine. Thanks for the insightful comments. We had one person express how the thoughtful comments by one in the group was just what she needed to hear. Thank you Christie for sharing just the right words tonight.
As was pointed out by several, it is difficult with our schedules to be spiritually disciplined and to take the time to spend in prayer, meditation, and reading scripture. Make a point this week to read all of John 15 once each day. Reflect on what it really means to abide in Christ and how we reproduce fruit as we do so. Write in your journal each day what God says through the scripture to you and take note of the different lessons God reveals to you each day as you read through John 15 .
